After a few minor upgrades in previous editions, the new version of Crystal Reports coming out now actually has some useful new features:
- Conditional formatting of lines and boxes – a nice, simple formatting attribute, removing the need to create multiple sections with a different lines and each section conditionally hidden to show the different lines
- Show Parameter Value Descriptions – including range parameters. Removes the need to write SQL commands to do a lookup on the database just to get the description.
- Vertical Alignment of text – force text to appear at the top or bottom of the box itis contained in.
- New data sources – including Native Support for databases.
