What is Microsoft Teams?

A key collaboration tool, within one window, users can use Microsoft Teams to call upon a variety of key Microsoft Office 365 apps and tools to help them work more effectively, such as:

  • Calendars and meetings (Outlook)
  • Create, share, edit and find content (SharePoint, OneDrive and OneNote)
  • Call and meet team members (Skype)
  • Chat and instant messaging (Skype)

Meetings in Teams include audio, video, and screen sharing. They’re one of the key ways to collaborate in Teams. And you don’t need to be a member of an organization (or even have a Teams account) to join a Teams meeting—just look in the invitation for instructions about calling in.
